self-raising / self-rising flour
I haven’t found self-raising flour in stores in Berlin so I looked up some substitution possibilities and here is what I found:
Taste of Home: 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt for 1 cup all-purpose flour
Nigella Lawson: 2 teaspoons of baking powder to each cup (150g) of all-purpose flour
Bread, Cakes and Ale: 12.5g baking powder added to 237.5g plain flour makes 2 cups (250g) stand-in self-raising flour
To substitute graham crackers for cheesecake crusts I always use McVities Digestive cookies.
